Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman with flowers by Georges Dayez was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 5,265.90 (€ 2,247.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Georges Dayez have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2000 the work Girl Playing Piano was auctioned for USD 3,680.00 (€ 3,816.24).
