Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les deux baigneuses by Georges d' Espagnat was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,927.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges d' Espagnat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Rochers Rouges - Circa 1901 in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 336,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Les deux baigneuses von Georges d' Espagnat kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.927,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges d' Espagnat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Rochers Rouges - Circa 1901 im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 336.600,00.
