Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Potatoes, onions, a wicker basket and a pot by George Weissbort was sold in the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in January 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,357.89). Admittedly, works by George Weissbort have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Artist's Materials in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 11,063.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Potatoes, onions, a wicker basket and a pot von George Weissbort wurde im Januar 2007 in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 900,00 (€ 1.357,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Weissbort auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Artist's Materials im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 11.063,54).
