Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Cornflowers and Michaelmas daisies in a jug, beneath a window; and Tomatoes, courgettes and mushrooms, on a table by George Weissbort for GBP 360.00 (€ 519.58). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Weissbort achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life with Artist's Materials in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 11,063.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cornflowers and Michaelmas daisies in a jug, beneath a window; and Tomatoes, courgettes and mushrooms, on a table von George Weissbort für GBP 360,00 (€ 519,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Weissbort erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life with Artist's Materials im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 11.063,54).
