Auction result well in line with expectations
The work No Assets: At an "At Home" by George Washington Lambert was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in November 2002. The price achieved of AUD 2,350.00 (€ 1,325.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Washington Lambert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miss Alison Preston in November 2003 with an auction result of AUD 44,650.00 (€ 26,935.17).
