Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Study Of Three Dancing Figures For 'Comus - The Measure' by George Richmond was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,626.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Richmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Sir Moses Montefiore (1784-1885), three-quarter-length, seated at a desk, in a black suit and cap in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 141,726.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Study Of Three Dancing Figures For 'Comus - The Measure' von George Richmond kam im Juli 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion.
