Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2003 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS, which included the work Interior of a drawing room; and Interior of a dining room, possibly at 8 Western Road, Oxford by George Pyne. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 4,300.25). Other works by George Pyne have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,283.63) in December 2020 for the work Eton from the North Terrace of Windsor Castle.

Im Juli 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior of a drawing room; and Interior of a dining room, possibly at 8 Western Road, Oxford von George Pyne zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.290,00 (€ 4.300,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von George Pyne haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.283,63) im Dezember 2020 für die Arbeit Eton from the North Terrace of Windsor Castle beobachtet.
