Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George L. K. Morris could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work White Shadows changed hands for USD 4,800.00 (€ 3,757.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George L. K. Morris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Intrusion in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 108,589.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von George L. K. Morris konnte im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit White Shadows für USD 4.800,00 (€ 3.757,93) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George L. K. Morris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Intrusion im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 108.589,10).
