Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dependent Disks by George L. K. Morris was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2009. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 21,804.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by George L. K. Morris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Intrusion in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 108,589.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dependent Disks von George L. K. Morris kam im Dezember 2009 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 21.804,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George L. K. Morris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Intrusion im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 108.589,10).
