The work Refugees by George Kennethson was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2018. It achieved a price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,905.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by George Kennethson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Spirit Of Weston sold at auction in March 2018 with the realized price of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,849.43).
