Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Head by George Kennethson was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2018. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,420.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Kennethson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spirit Of Weston, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,849.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Head von George Kennethson kam im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.420,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von George Kennethson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spirit Of Weston beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.849,43) versteigert wurde.
