Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George John Pinwell could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work Topsey changed hands for GBP 562.50 (€ 693.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George John Pinwell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fine Lady in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,435.48).
