The work The Great Lady by George John Pinwell was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,557.51), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by George John Pinwell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Fine Lady sold at auction in May 2014 with the realized price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,435.48).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.557,51) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von George John Pinwell; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Fine Lady im Mai 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.435,48).
