Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Hinda, Lallah Rooke - A Study by George John Pinwell for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,036.15). This price was achieved in the auction An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection at Christies and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by George John Pinwell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Fine Lady in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,435.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hinda, Lallah Rooke - A Study von George John Pinwell für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.036,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection bei Christies erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George John Pinwell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Fine Lady im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.435,48).
