Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Christies held the auction An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection, which included the work The Letter by George John Pinwell. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,363.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by George John Pinwell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Fine Lady in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,435.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Christies die Auktion An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Letter von George John Pinwell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.363,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George John Pinwell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Fine Lady im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.435,48).
