The work Medfield Landscape by George Inness was sold in the American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in May 2019. The result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 53,816.49) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Inness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset on the River in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,945,000.00 (€ 1,250,000.00).
