Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Portfolio II" by George Hurrell was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in February 2020. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,312.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Hurrell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hurrell, Portfolio I, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 4,700.00 (€ 5,538.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "Portfolio II" von George Hurrell kam im Februar 2020 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.312,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von George Hurrell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hurrell, Portfolio I beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 4.700,00 (€ 5.538,53) versteigert wurde.
