In January 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Switch by George Herms. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,645.64), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Herms - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Song for Hope, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,671.16).

Im Januar 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Switch von George Herms zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.645,64) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von George Herms mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Song for Hope beobachtet, die im Januar 2011 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.671,16) versteigert wurde.
