Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2020 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by George Herms for USD 625.00 (€ 566.89). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's 100 at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Herms achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Song for Hope in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,671.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2020 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von George Herms für USD 625,00 (€ 566,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's 100 bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Herms erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Song for Hope im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.671,16).
