The work It's a Classic by George Herms was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2020. The result of USD 1,000.00 (€ 907.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Herms achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Song for Hope in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,671.16).

Die Arbeit It's a Classic von George Herms kam im Februar 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 907,03) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Herms erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Song for Hope im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.671,16).
