A top price for George Graham - as previously expected
In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work A View of Rye Harbour by George Graham. The price achieved of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,145.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,800.00 – 2,400.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A View of Rye Harbour is the most expensive artwork by George Graham that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit A View of Rye Harbour von George Graham zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.145,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.800,00 – 2.400,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist A View of Rye Harbour das teuerste Kunstwerk von George Graham, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
