Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work New Jersey - Stream by George Gardner Symons. The price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,880.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Gardner Symons - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blush of Evening, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 46,600.00 (€ 32,773.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit New Jersey - Stream von George Gardner Symons zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.880,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von George Gardner Symons mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blush of Evening beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 46.600,00 (€ 32.773,05) versteigert wurde.
