Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction, which included the work A view across the valley by George Gardner Symons. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,075.00 (€ 5,215.94). Admittedly, works by George Gardner Symons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blush of Evening in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 46,600.00 (€ 32,773.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view across the valley von George Gardner Symons zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.075,00 (€ 5.215,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Gardner Symons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blush of Evening im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.600,00 (€ 32.773,05).
