Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Varenna, Lake Como by George Edwards Hering. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,456.61). Other works by George Edwards Hering have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 14,855.24) in March 2005 for the work Isola San Guilo, Lake Orta.

Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Varenna, Lake Como von George Edwards Hering zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.456,61) einen neuen Besitzer.
