Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Lake Orta, Northern Italy by George Edwards Hering. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 720.00 (€ 1,055.31), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Edwards Hering achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Isola San Guilo, Lake Orta in March 2005 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 14,855.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lake Orta, Northern Italy von George Edwards Hering zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.055,31) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Edwards Hering erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Isola San Guilo, Lake Orta im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 14.855,24).
