Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work A Winding River With Hills Beyond by George Edwards Hering. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,814.27). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Edwards Hering - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Isola San Guilo, Lake Orta, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 14,855.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Winding River With Hills Beyond von George Edwards Hering zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.814,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von George Edwards Hering mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Isola San Guilo, Lake Orta beobachtet, die im März 2005 für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 14.855,24) versteigert wurde.
