Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Dunlop Leslie could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale auction, the work British The Goldfish Seller changed hands for USD 266,500.00 (€ 210,140.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Dunlop Leslie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pot-Pourri, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 446,650.00 (€ 699,430.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Dunlop Leslie konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale wechselte die Arbeit British The Goldfish Seller für USD 266.500,00 (€ 210.140,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00.
