Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work A Young Shoshone by George de Forest Brush for USD 149,000.00 (€ 133,812.30). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George de Forest Brush achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Council of the War Party in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 2,592,000.00 (€ 2,188,819.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Young Shoshone von George de Forest Brush für USD 149.000,00 (€ 133.812,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George de Forest Brush erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Council of the War Party im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.592.000,00 (€ 2.188.819,46).
