Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice by George Clarkson Stanfield for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,510.96). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Clarkson Stanfield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Punta della Dogana à Venise, which sold at auction in September 2016 for EUR 67,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice von George Clarkson Stanfield für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.510,96) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von George Clarkson Stanfield mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Punta della Dogana à Venise beobachtet, die im September 2016 für EUR 67.500,00 versteigert wurde.
