Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2013 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Lake Maggiore by George Clarkson Stanfield. The price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,704.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Clarkson Stanfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Punta della Dogana à Venise in September 2016 with an auction result of EUR 67,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lake Maggiore von George Clarkson Stanfield zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.704,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Clarkson Stanfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Punta della Dogana à Venise im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 67.500,00.
