Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Favourite by George Bernard O'Neill was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,777.33). Admittedly, works by George Bernard O'Neill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Market Day, the arrival of the Hippodrome in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 47,800.00 (€ 71,140.72).

Die Arbeit The Favourite von George Bernard O'Neill kam im März 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.777,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Bernard O'Neill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Market Day, the arrival of the Hippodrome im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.800,00 (€ 71.140,72).
