Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Yellow Fields by Geoffrey Key was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 4,480.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Geoffrey Key - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piccadilly, Manchester, which sold at auction in March 2012 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,985.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Yellow Fields von Geoffrey Key wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 4.480,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Geoffrey Key mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piccadilly, Manchester beobachtet, die im März 2012 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.985,19) versteigert wurde.
