Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Riders by Geoffrey Key was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,980.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Geoffrey Key - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piccadilly, Manchester, which sold at auction in March 2012 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,985.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Riders von Geoffrey Key wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.980,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Geoffrey Key mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piccadilly, Manchester beobachtet, die im März 2012 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.985,19) versteigert wurde.
