Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interchange Of Light by Geng Jianyi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. The price achieved of HKD 800,000.00 (€ 73,879.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 900,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Geng Jianyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two People Under A Light in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 18,580,000.00 (€ 1,614,671.07).

Die Arbeit Interchange Of Light von Geng Jianyi kam im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 800.000,00 (€ 73.879,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Geng Jianyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two People Under A Light im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.580.000,00 (€ 1.614.671,07).
