Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Window's World by Geng Jianyi was auctioned at Christies in Shanghai in September 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CNY 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of CNY 24,000.00 (€ 3,053.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Geng Jianyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two People Under A Light in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 18,580,000.00 (€ 1,614,671.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Window's World von Geng Jianyi kam im September 2017 bei Christies in Shanghai zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CNY 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CNY 24.000,00 (€ 3.053,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Geng Jianyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two People Under A Light im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.580.000,00 (€ 1.614.671,07).
