Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Tucana, 1966/1980 by Geneviève Claisse was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in London in December 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,557.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Geneviève Claisse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work H in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,297.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tucana, 1966/1980 von Geneviève Claisse wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.557,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Geneviève Claisse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit H im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.297,58).
