A top price for Geneviève Claisse
When the work H by Geneviève Claisse was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 7,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,297.58). This high result makes H the most expensive artwork by Geneviève Claisse that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit H von Geneviève Claisse im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 7.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.297,58) mehr als dreimal so hoch.
