Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2000 Christies in Los Angeles held the auction WESTERN PROPERTY FROM THE KATHERINE H. HALEY TRUST, which included the work Shadowed Buttes by Gene Kloss. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,762.50 (€ 2,076.95), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gene Kloss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Dance Procession in an Adobe Plaza in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 27,812.50 (€ 23,569.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in Los Angeles die Auktion WESTERN PROPERTY FROM THE KATHERINE H. HALEY TRUST durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shadowed Buttes von Gene Kloss zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.762,50 (€ 2.076,95) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gene Kloss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Dance Procession in an Adobe Plaza im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.812,50 (€ 23.569,92).
