Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gede Mahendra Yasa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2011. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Untitled (Plototan Series) sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 32,588.89) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gede Mahendra Yasa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Origen's Gambit in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 188,414.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gede Mahendra Yasa erzielte im April 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Plototan Series) für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 32.588,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gede Mahendra Yasa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Origen's Gambit im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 188.414,02).
