In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Plototan #1 by Gede Mahendra Yasa. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 106,250.00 (€ 9,881.94), 52% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gede Mahendra Yasa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Origen's Gambit in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 188,414.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plototan #1 von Gede Mahendra Yasa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 9.881,94) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gede Mahendra Yasa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Origen's Gambit im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 188.414,02).
