This artwork by Gede Mahendra Yasa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work (I) Seven Magnificent Masterpieces #1 (Ii) Seven Magnificent Masterpieces #2 sold for HKD 900,000.00 (€ 105,911.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gede Mahendra Yasa; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Origen's Gambit sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 188,414.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gede Mahendra Yasa erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit (I) Seven Magnificent Masterpieces #1 (Ii) Seven Magnificent Masterpieces #2 für HKD 900.000,00 (€ 105.911,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gede Mahendra Yasa; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Origen's Gambit im November 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 188.414,02).
