This artwork by Gede Mahendra Yasa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian auction, the work 3 Flags #5 sold for HKD 312,500.00 (€ 29,654.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gede Mahendra Yasa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Origen's Gambit in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 188,414.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gede Mahendra Yasa erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian wurde die Arbeit 3 Flags #5 für HKD 312.500,00 (€ 29.654,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gede Mahendra Yasa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Origen's Gambit im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 188.414,02).
