This artwork by Gede Mahendra Yasa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. In the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Castor - Pollux sold for HKD 596,000.00 (€ 55,040.37) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 260,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gede Mahendra Yasa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Origen's Gambit, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 188,414.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gede Mahendra Yasa erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Castor - Pollux für HKD 596.000,00 (€ 55.040,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 260.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gede Mahendra Yasa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Origen's Gambit beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 188.414,02) versteigert wurde.
