Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mallard with a frog, surrounded by fairies by Harold Gaze was sold in the Original Illustration Art from the Collections of Kendra and Allan Daniel auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2011. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,265.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harold Gaze have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fairies and Bubbles in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 5,975.00 (€ 6,015.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mallard with a frog, surrounded by fairies von Harold Gaze wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Original Illustration Art from the Collections of Kendra and Allan Daniel bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.265,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harold Gaze auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fairies and Bubbles im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.975,00 (€ 6.015,91).
