This artwork by Gazbia Sirry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June 2021. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections auction, the work Untitled (Abstract Forms) sold for GBP 15,250.00 (€ 17,770.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gazbia Sirry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Egyptian the Garden in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,640.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gazbia Sirry erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Abstract Forms) für GBP 15.250,00 (€ 17.770,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gazbia Sirry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Egyptian the Garden im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.640,90).
