Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Market by Gazbia Sirry was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,490.91). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gazbia Sirry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Egyptian the Garden in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,640.90).
