Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gazbia Sirry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2021. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections auction, the work The Village sold for GBP 42,750.00 (€ 50,192.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gazbia Sirry; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Egyptian the Garden sold at auction in October 2017 with the realized price of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,640.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gazbia Sirry erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections wurde die Arbeit The Village für GBP 42.750,00 (€ 50.192,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gazbia Sirry; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Egyptian the Garden im Oktober 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.640,90).
