Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Houses On The Nile by Gazbia Sirry was worth GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,699.16) to a buyer in March 2020. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gazbia Sirry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Egyptian the Garden , which sold at auction in October 2017 for GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,640.90).
