Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gazbia Sirry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction, the work Ghalb Al-Madina (Heart of the City) sold for GBP 35,250.00 (€ 39,350.90) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gazbia Sirry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Egyptian the Garden , which sold at auction in October 2017 for GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,640.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gazbia Sirry erzielte im November 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art wurde die Arbeit Ghalb Al-Madina (Heart of the City) für GBP 35.250,00 (€ 39.350,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gazbia Sirry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Egyptian the Garden beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.640,90) versteigert wurde.
