Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Other by Gavin Turk was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,808.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gavin Turk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pile in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 104,500.00 (€ 147,343.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Other von Gavin Turk wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.808,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gavin Turk erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pile im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 104.500,00 (€ 147.343,69).
